What will be covered in 'Discover' phase of PMIT?
We will start this session by assessing the various aspects of ‘Product Idea’. You can expect the following topics to be covered during the session:
- How to capture Product Idea – Bring it from 30,000 ft. down to a ‘Product Concept Model’
- How to understand the Customer – Needs, Wants, Persona and Buying behaviour
- How to analyse Competition - Product features, pricing and brand presence
- How to assess Market – Its economic conditions, challenges and stage
- How to establish Business Drivers – Product vision, mission and drivers
- How to build a Product Strategy – Build business case to share with product sponsors
Design
What will be covered in 'Design' phase of PMIT?
Once the ‘Discover’ piece of the product is in place, we can start to design the product - through visuals, architecture and design blueprints. You can expect the following topics to be covered during the session:
- How to build a Product Architecture – Features, functionalities, entities etc.
- How to map out User Journeys – New users, paid customer, buying journey etc.
- How to conduct Product Analysis – Understanding content, taxonomy, data and analytics
- How to sketch Wireframes – On Paper, using Balsamic, using Axure
- How to create Product Storyline – Scenarios and wireframes in an end-to-end journey.
Define
What will be covered in 'Define' phase of PMIT?
After we have the initial ‘Design’ idea on paper, it is time to start defining the product’s functionality in detail. This will help the production/development of the product. You can expect the following topics to be covered during the session:
- How to build the Product Backlog or manage & expand an existing backlog
- How to prioritise Product Requirements
- How to layout Product Roadmap and define MVP (Minimum Viable Product)
- How to write User Stories – SMART, DEEP, INVEST
Deliver
What will be covered in 'Deliver' phase of PMIT?
The last phase of product management is getting ready to ‘Deliver’ the product. You can expect the following topics to be covered during the session:
- How to manage AGILE process – SCRUM, KANBAN or LEAN
- How to liaise with SCRUM roles: Product Owner, Scrum Master, Development Team
- How to master the Human Elements of product development – 6 human needs
- How to build and run a Fully Functional Team – human archetypes & personalities
- How to Launch the product successfully
- How to work with Technical team members being a non-technical product manager
